Said Abdelsayed is an Egyptian-born artist now living in California. He began painting as a means of expressing the anger and frustration he felt when he lost the use of both legs from a car accident. Abdelsayed has experimented with crayon, pastel, charcoal, pencil, oil, acrylic and watercolor to discover where his interests lie. One of his signature techniques involves creating depth and texture by incorporating carpet shavings into the painting surface.
