Children Beyond Borders
Cultural Olympiad Installation
January 18 - March 17, 2002
Salt Lake City, Utah

VSA arts celebrated the 2002 Olympic Games by offering an delightful look into the unique creativity of young artists with disabilities from 33 states and 16 countries. Inspired by Women Beyond Borders , an unprecedented grassroots project that used a simple box form to stimulate expression of women artists from 33 countries,VSA arts invited children from its domestic and international network to reconfigure identical boxes into original works of art.

The resulting exhibition, Children Beyond Borders, marked the culmination of this international call for art and wasdisplayed from January 18 through March 17 as part of VSA arts of Utah's Art Access Gallery series produced specifically for the Cultural Olympiad.
