Many artists employ unique methods or materials in the creation of their artwork; such accommodations are a direct result of the effects of their disability.

Greta Meyer, "Two Women" (22b)
Greta Meyer began gradually losing her sight in 1965 and has been legally blind since 1980. Her favorite media are wire and paper maché because they are easy to feel during the creative process. The wire base serve as a "grid" that orients the artist to her space and gently captures the paper maché forms.

Brom Wikstrom (23b)
Brom Wikstrom was injured in a diving accident only two years after completing courses at a commercial art school. In the 1980's his figurative paintings were first created by holding paintbrushes and other tools in his mouth. Wikstrom has recently altered his technique through his use of art-based computer programs.
