Columbus, OH - A resident of Columbus, Traci Parks received her art training from Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology. A visual artist who concentrates on basic color 4x5 photography, Parks has a visual disability that at times makes it challenging for her to focus her camera.

Through her photography, Parks sees light, color, texture, and patterns and creates dramatic illusions using everyday objects. Her illusions turn real life scenes into something extraordinary. Parks says she is fascinated with glass and paper-weights, which she frequently incorporates into her photographs.

In addition, she uses cross-polarization to attain the pattern that she is trying to achieve. Parks believes that, "My unique perspective enables viewers to see things in a way they may not otherwise thought of."

Parks has been published in several magazines, including Veterinary Economics Magazine, Images Magazine, Best of College Photography. She has also displayed her art in exhibitions throughout Ohio, including "Imagine That," "Accessible Expressions", and "Our Common Lives."
