1995"Running away from my disability will only torture myself. Accepting my disability and never compare to others will I find happiness in myself".Fu-Tsai Tung was born in 1963. He was paralyzed from neck down in a diving training accident in the army at the age of 21. After nearly eight years of struggle and soul searching, he finally decided to regain his life. Fu-Tsai liked to paint before the accident, so he started to paint with his mouth. He became a member of Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists in 1993. He won several awards at the Taiwan National Art Contest for People with Disabilities in May 1997 and recently completed a solo exhibition in October 1997. Tung is also a well-known speaker and writer. He is an active member of VSA arts of Taiwan, whose aim is to promote the accomplished talents of artists with disabilities at an international level.
