etching (9" x 10"), 1993Born with cerebral palsy,Gölin Folkesson has shown an inclination for art since an early age. She received her education at the National Art School in Stockholm and took coursework in painting, drawing and free embroidery. She has accomplished continuing education courses in graphics, and has participated in study trips to Norway, Holland, Finland and Spain. Folkesson was the president of her local chapter of the Youth Committee for the National Handicap Association, and has completed a course book on watercolor painting.
