1996"My work is about transitions, both metaphysical and real. My art is not for short attention, but for a more meditative approach."Kong Ho, who has polio in his right leg, began making art during his undergraduate studies. His art has evolved both with his use of mixed media and with conceptual growth, and is based on images derived from the combination of structured abstraction and realistic representation. A graduate of the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Arts degree and Texas Tech University with a Masters of Fine Arts in painting and drawing, Kong Ho has developed an international reputation in the art world. Prior to coming to the United States to study, he was an Art Instructor at the University of Hong Kong for four years. Ho's award-winning art has been shown in both group and solo exhibits in such venues as Alisam Fine Arts Ltd. in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Cultural Center, the UN General Assembly Building in New York, the Amarillo Museum of Art in Texas, and the Sister Kenny Institute in Minneapolis.
