1996Yashpal Chandrakar has been exhibiting his works throughout India since 1986. A recipient of the Junior Fellowship Award from the Indian Department of Culture, Chandrakar, who has limited mobility due to polio, has worked with VSA arts of India for several years, participating in artist camps and exhibitions. His striking etchings and serigraphs reflect the cultural icons and symbols of life in India, and serve as teaching tools to covey his native culture to those who view his art.
