Over 20,000 call-for-entries packets were sent to high schools and colleges around the country, inviting submissions by young artists, ages 16 -25 with disabilities, to illustrate the theme "Driving Force." Participants were asked to contemplate the motivation behind their art, and the inspirations that guide their creative process. Selected from 142 submissions, these 15 finalists were awarded a total of $30,000 generously provided by Volkswagen of America, Inc.
