Art Slam 2007: Slide Exhibition of Art by Artists with Disabilities

Presented by the Arts and Disability Network and de Young Museum in the Koret Auditorium, on Saturday, October 6, 2007, Art Slam 2007 will include 1 work per participating artist, with brief artist’s statement. Each artist is encouraged to attend the presentation and honoring ceremony at the Open House and Disability Arts Festival on Saturday, October 6. For artists and groups unable to attend on Saturday, a shortened version of Art Slam will be screened on Friday, October 5. This unjuried exhibition has no entry fee and is open to all artists with disabilities. Media: 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional visual art only. By July 15, 2007, we will inform each artist if the artwork will be included
Send electronically to tbrown@famsf.org or (snail) mail to Tish Brown, de Young Museum, 50 Tea Garden Drive, San Francisco, CA 94118. Acceptable formats: electronic file, CD-Rom, 35mm slide, or photograph up to 8"x10" in size. Entry must include the name of the artist, year created, medium, dimensions, and an artist’s statement of up to 45 words. If you would like to have your slide/photo/CD-Rom returned, please include a stamped self-addressed envelope.
