Organizational Snapshot:

VSA arts of South Africa was established in 1992 as a school program at the Mary Harding Training Center for the Mentally Handicapped in Cape Town. The organization conducts programs for children and youth throughout the Western Cape, the Eastern Cape, Gauteng, and KwaZulu Natal regions in collaboration with numerous schools, institutions, hospitals, art centers, community centers, universities, and technical colleges. VSA arts of South Africa also works with individual artists outside these traditional structures. In addition to workshops in music, African dance, wheelchair dance, drama, literature, and visual arts, VSA arts of South Africa conducts teacher training workshops in dance, scriptwriting, drama, and ceramics.
