Festival Fellows in the Visual Arts Announced

During the Fall of 2002, VSA arts issued an International Call for Nominations in the Visual Arts that sought to identify signature artists with disabilities who were active in their community. We received 118 applications from around the world.

The jury panel met this past January and included Virginia Shore, Senior Curator of the Art in Embassies Program/Department of State, David Adamson of David Adamson Gallery, and Massumeh Farhad, Curator of Islamic Art at the Freer and Sackler Galleries of Art, Smithsonian. We are pleased to announce our twelve finalists:
